The Creative Hubs Barometer is intended to be an annual study that would help establish the baseline to compare and understand the creative hubs community in Europe of the next few years. This very first edition of the study was treated as a pilot research, the methodology of which was co-developed by the British Council team together with ECBN (European Creative Business Network). It was a unique exercise of hub self-assessment and data collection in the creative hubs community.
The Barometer is not only taking a picture of the state of creative hubs in Europe, but is fundamentally a reflection exercise that can hopefully lead to asking the right questions and taking the right actions for the sustainability and success of the hubs and the cultural and creative industries.
The study and its findings were presented during the ECHN Campus event in Brussels, in January 2018.
