Future Foundry is a Creative Start Up Space led by artists. The initiative has followed a two year programme of Student Makers Markets, a project offering any young person aged 16-30 (not just students) free market stalls and ‘street based’ business training. Consequently Future Foundry already has a strong network of young creative entrepreneurs keen to learn more. Many are attending the first entrepreneurial training programme in the space. Closing the Loop is exploring the Circular Economy, entrepreneurship and the role of the arts and culture in the take up of the Circular Economy.

The company has run Student Makers Markets for 5 years, working with over 400 young people. Evaluations over the years showed that lack of access to space and resources was the number one barrier stopping young people from less advantaged backgrounds to make progress. This space will supply a space to learn, share skills and knowledge and batch produce work.
